Chapin Area Rescue Squad
The Chapin Area Rescue Squad, or CARS, is a Basic Life Support Emergency Medical Service Agency, or simply BLS EMS agency serving Chapin and the surrounding area. The CARS responds to medical emergency calls, as well as vehicle accidents requiring extrication and other technical rescue emergencies.
The Chapin Area Rescue Squad has been approved by the Passavant EMS system and the Illinois Department of Public Health to provide BLS Ambulance Transport to the residents to the Village of Chapin, the Village of Concord, and the surrounding rural area. Part of that transition was the purchase of a second ambulance, to ensure that if the first is on a call or out of service for maintenance, that EMS transport is available in a timely manner. Pictures of this ambulance will be posted soon!
Calls for 2010: 87 total calls
