The Passavant EMS System has updated protocols for all care levels. Click on the links below for the updated protocols. ALL MEMBERS will be given a practical and written exam on the new protocols.

This is a 160 hour certification course. The above link opens a sample course outline. CARS will be hosting the next EMT course beginning with an informational meeting on February 10th at 7:00 pm at the Chapin Fire
Station. Class will start on February 28th and run through the beginning of June. For those living in the response districts of the CARS and Meredosia-Bluffs Volunteer Rescue Squads, the course is free for those agreeing to join the squad. For those living out of district, the cost is $300.00, with a $150.00 deposit due on the first day of class and the remaining balance paid before the final exam. The Chapin Area Rescue Squad was formed in 2007 and provides BLS transport Emergency Medical Services for the Village of Chapin, Concord and surrounding rural area. The rescue squad is an all volunteer agency, and always looking for new members.
