The Chapin Area Rescue Squad was formed in 2007 and provides BLS transport Emergency Medical Services, with field upgradable ALS, for the Village of Chapin, Concord and surrounding rural area. The rescue squad is an all volunteer agency, and always looking for new members. All training conducted by CARS is eligible for IDPH CME credits. You do not need to be a member to attend CARS trainings, although in some cases a cost is associated.

Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
This is a 56-hour certification course. The above link opens a sample course outline. There are no EMR courses in Chapin scheduled at this time.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
This is a 180-hour certification course. The above link opens a sample course outline. No classes are planned for 2021 in the Village of Chapin. If you are interested in taking the course, please contact the Village Hall.
